Reservoir Operations

We offer reservoir operations services to support agencies operating reservoirs and those affected by their operation who want to better understand the rules and regulations that guide the operation of these reservoirs. Our experience includes all aspects of reservoir operations, including the development of operations models and analyses to support decision making. We have developed models using both standard software (e.g., HEC-ResSim) and have made custom operations applications.

Much of our work has included supporting and providing technical leadership for projects and programs for our local, state, and federal agency clients. We have led the charge toward modern reservoir operations, including acting as a key participant in both Forecast-Coordinated Operations (F-CO) on the Yuba-Feather and San Joaquin River systems and the implementation of the first Corps of Engineers-approved Forecast Informed Reservoir Operations (FIRO) at Folsom Dam. Our participation in these efforts since their beginnings have led to a mature understanding of the concepts, processes, and players involved. We leverage this knowledge to continue to lead new efforts along this exciting water resources frontier.
