Don Trieu is a Principal Engineer in the Hydrology and Hydraulics (H&H) group at MBK Engineers. Don has over three decades of experience in development of hydraulic and hydro-logic models for evaluation of flood control alternatives, hydraulic impact analysis and design of flood risk reduction projects in the Sacramento and San Joaquin Valley. Don supervises the development of H&H models for the evaluation of flood control alternatives and the development of design water surface elevations.
On behalf of clients, Don routinely performs H&H analysis of flood problems and evaluates flood control alternatives using HEC-RAS, RMA-2, FLO-2d, UNET, HEC-1. He has extensive experience preparing plans and specifications for levee rehabilitation and habitat enhancement projects in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta, and has obtained permits from local, state, and federal agencies to complete Reclamation District projects. Don has also worked on a variety of feasibility studies and on the design of fish screens for water diversions on behalf of MBK clients.
