Where is the most relaxing place you’ve ever been?
The bamboo forest in Kyoto, Japan.

Where is the most interesting place you’ve been?
San Diego during Comic-con. You can see any and everything there.

What is something that a ton of people are obsessed with that you just don’t get the point of?
Reality television.

What is something you think everyone should do at least once in their lives?
Travel to a foreign country.

What could you give a 40-minute presentation on with absolutely no preparation?
The effects and history of voting rights in the United States. Or, more likely, a breakdown of themes and overarching plot of the TV show Supernatural (All 15 Seasons!).

What’s the best way to start the day?
Waking up naturally, without an alarm, and with no appointments to keep so you can laze around as long as you want.

What skill would you like to master?
I’d like to improve my foreign language skills.

What is the best part of your job?
I enjoy the variety of the work I do each day. Each day is different, and I’ve learned a lot about water resources and water supply in the state since I started working here.

How did you get into engineering?
I was looking for a career change and enjoyed the freelance editorial work I was doing on the side. My best friend’s father mentioned water resources as an area that I would enjoy. Luckily, he was right!

What do you do for your job?
I am the Technical Editor at MBK Engineers, which means I edit, format, and finalize the outgoing documentation our office produces. In addition, I oversee the firm’s business licensing renewals.
