What’s the best way to start the day?
A great cup of coffee!

What is something that a ton of people are obsessed with that you just don’t get the point of?
Taking videos with your phone during a concert.

Would you rather go hang gliding or whitewater rafting?
Hang gliding!

What could you give a 40-minute presentation on with absolutely no preparation?
What to do with your weekend if you don’t have kids…

What’s the best single day on the calendar?
Any Federal Holiday…

What skill would you like to master?
Fly fishing (especially the cast) and tying flies.

What hobby would you get into if time and money were not an issue?
I would travel the world fly fishing in exotic locations with my own personal chef.

How did you get into engineering?
I originally went to school to become a park ranger, but after a couple of core classes I decided it wasn’t for me. At the same time, I was taking a class in GIS/GPS technology and really liked the mix of field and office work, as well it’s application in an engineering environment.

What do you do for your job?
I usually tell people I'm a cartographer. Most of my day-to-day tasks involve drafting maps and figures.

What is the best part of your job?
It doesn’t feel monotonous since I’m given the opportunity to work in different areas of the company.
