Position Description

MBK Engineers is seeking a motivated individual to join the firm as a junior, assistant, or registered engineer. The primary duties of this position consist of:

• Working with teammates in the practice areas of hydrology, hydraulics, and reservoir operations to solve complex water resources problems;
• Developing strong analytical skills and modeling expertise;
• Developing core computer programming expertise, including mastery of languages and software platforms, and identifying unique areas of focus which complement the team;
• Executing projects and working with other engineering and support staff on those assignments;
• Preparing detailed written memoranda, reports, and visuals on technical assignments and presenting technical information to peers and clients.

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in civil, agricultural, environmental, or water resources engineering, hydrology, or a related field and 0 to 5 years of experience in the water resources field is required. California Professional Engineer registration or plan to obtain is required.

This position will require the development of strong computer programming skills. Prior experience with computer programming, while not mandatory, is desirable.

Compensation Package

We offer an industry-leading compensation package, highlighted by:

• Employer-funded annual profit-sharing equal to at least 10% of gross annual pay;

• 26 days annually of holiday, vacation, and sick leave;
• Performance-based annual cash bonus.

The annual salary for this position depends on experience and is expected to range from $60,000 to $95,000.
