Position Description
MBK Engineers is seeking a motivated individual to join the firm as either a Senior Civil Engineer or Project Manager. The primary duties of this position consist of:
- Assist the Principal or Supervising Engineer in the planning, design, and construction of flood management projects.
- Preparation of technical reports for a variety of audiences (technical to layperson) and effectively communicate that information.
- Preparation of schedules, budgets, and scopes of work for tasks undertaken by MBK as well as work of other team members in support of program elements.
Qualifications
- Registered Civil Engineer in the State of California (desirable, but not required)
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in design, planning or implementation of flood management projects
- Knowledge of the flood management system in the Central Valley of California
- Understanding of USACE Civil Works Program
- Ability to oversee technical staff, administrative staff, and consultants
- Experience with regulatory agencies
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Experience presenting information in public meeting settings
- Excellent people skills
- Desirable Qualifications: PMP or CFM certifications
