Position Description

MBK Engineers is seeking a motivated individual to join the firm as a Junior (Entry), Assistant, or Registered Engineer. The primary duties of this position consist of:

• Working with team members in the practice areas of hydrology and hydraulics (H&H) to solve complex water resources problems;
• Developing strong analytical skills and modeling expertise;
• Developing core analytical skills in the hydraulic discipline, including mastery of H&H modeling software (HEC-RAS), Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and Productivity software suites such as Word, LaTeX, PowerPoint, Excel, web development, and others as required;
• Executing projects and working with other engineering and support staff on those assignments;
• Preparing detailed written memoranda and reports on technical assignments and presenting technical information to peers and clients.

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in civil, agricultural, environmental, or water resources engineering, hydrology, or a related field and 0 to 5 years of experience in water resources field is required. California Professional Engineer registration or the plan to obtain is required.

Salary/Wages for Positions:

• Junior Engineer: $27.95 to $41.93 per hour
• Assistant Engineer: $30.82 to $50.73 per hour
• Registered Engineer: $85,119 to $127,679 annually
