Position Description

MBK Engineers is seeking a motivated individual to join the firm as a Senior or registered engineer. The primary duties of this position consist of:

• Working in flood control, reclamation and project management to support State Plan of Flood Control (SPFC) and non-project levee clients in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta and Central Valley regions.
• Developing strong analytical skills and grow knowledge of flood control and reclamation district clients.
• Assisting in the design of projects, performing engineering studies, preparing construction documents and engineering calculations, and providing client support for various funding programs.
• Developing of and assisting clients to comply with changing flood control operations and maintenance standards, in collaboration with our multi-disciplinary team.
• Preparing detailed written memoranda and reports on technical assignments and presenting technical information to peers and clients, representing MBK and clients on multiple levels.

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in civil, agricultural, environmental, or water resources engineering, hydrology, or a related field and 3 to 10 years of experience in the water resources field is required. California Professional Engineer registration is required. Prior experience with multi- faceted teams, public speaking, and fieldwork is important. Knowledge of flood control in California is desirable.

Salary/Wages for Positions:

The annual salary for this position depends on experience: the range is:

• Engineer: $85,120 to $127,680
• Sr. Engineer: $102,995 to $154,493.
