Nicole Ortega-Jewell is a Principal and Shareholder at MBK Engineers. Nicole helps lead the Flood Management group, where she also provides assistance with the planning, design, permitting, and implementation of multi-objective flood risk reduction and aquatic restoration projects throughout the California Central Valley.

Prior to joining MBK Engineers, Ms. Ortega-Jewell served for 20 years at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and has extensive experience in the Corps Civil Works program. Nicole served in a variety of leadership positions while working at the Corps, including as a Congressional Liaison, Civil Works Program Manager, and Senior Project Manager where she directed multi-disciplinary teams at the Sacramento, San Francisco, and South Pacific Division offices.
