Position Description

MBK Engineers is seeking a motivated individual with knowledge of survey calculations and state plane coordinate systems, topographic mapping, digital terrain modeling and volumetrics to join the firm. The primary duties of this position consist of:

• Gathering, compiling and analyzing survey data pertaining to engineering projects;
• Assembling and compiling information from field reports and investigations;
• Reflecting on task assignments and communicating ideas for improvement in efficiency, execution and task scheduling to senior staff;
• Performing land surveys and related field work under the direction of a licensed land surveyor;
• Assisting in the preparation of concise, accurate technical survey reports and presentations;
• Creating neat and accurate computations, notes, exhibits, plats and maps;
• Providing accurate, complete, and up-to-date information in a timely manner.

Qualifications

A high school diploma or GED plus a minimum of three (3) years of surveying experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Land Surveyor in Training (LSIT) Certificate a plus.

The annual salary for this position depends on experience: the range is: $73,864 to $110,796
